Money Flights

In November, the Indian Government demonetized all high value currency making it necessary to exchange it for new banknotes and this presented Quikjet with a unique opportunity as we have now been contacted by the RBI to transport currency around the country.

The operation presentaed muliple challenges such as the lack of a suitable GSE to handle a freighter and offload 140 boxes of 125kgs each without a main-deck loader. Reduced visibility due to fog and limited Navaids were other constraints we regularly encountered.

A very tight schedule with no room from delay has kept everyone glued to the operations 24×7 but constant innovation and close communication acress the team has made this operation successful.

Besides the fact that we flew to many airports for the first time, an aircraft carrying banknotes is intriging enough. This earned us the nickname ‘Paisa Wala Flight’ or ‘Flight with Money’. May the ‘Paisa’ roll into Quikjet.
