This meeting, attended by all stakeholders—including the CEO on several occasions—reviews the previous day’s operations, focusing on critical delays or disruptions. The IOCC team examines contributory factors using supporting documents such as D-checklists and inputs from various agencies. The IOCC Duty Manager plays a key role in presenting accurate data and facilitating discussions, ensuring senior leadership makes informed decisions on operational improvements.
Beyond weather management, the IOCC functions as Quikjet’s crisis management center. Whether facing technical failures, severe weather, or unforeseen challenges, the team swiftly coordinates repairs, reallocates resources, and liaises with Air Traffic Services (ATS), ground operations, engineering teams, senior management, and clients. “Our team operates under high pressure, simultaneously communicating with multiple stakeholders and making real-time decisions. We ensure all affected parties remain informed throughout the process,” explains Cdr Abraham.
