“The first joint offsite Safety Team meeting was held at the Amazon Office, Madrid on 17-18 Apr 2024. Air Safety Teams from Quikjet, ASL Airlines and Amazon Air EU attended the meeting to discuss events, occurrences, major changes, previous action points, feedback from audits, new initiatives and other topics of relevance. Cdr. BK Bhaskaran (Retd.), Head -Flight Safety, represented Quikjet at the meeting. The meeting was followed by a visit to the cargo warehouse and ramp at Madrid Airport.
The offsite meeting and visits to facilities provided an opportunity to discuss in detail and work out solutions to common operations and safety related issues. The in-depth analysis and recommendations that emerged out of discussions on various safety events had many lessons beneficial to our operations. The varied aviation professional backgrounds of the participants and the institutional experience of our partner companies added immense value to the discussions.”
